Max’s Oasis

When I found out I was pregnant I knew exactly I wanted for my babes nursery… a girl baby that is! And when I found out I was having a baby boy my initial thought was -there’s no way his room is going to look like Spider Man threw up in there-. I wanted his room to be elegant and timeless, something he could grow into. By now you all know this nursery has been quite the process but with Max coming any day the nursery is FINALLY FINISHED!!!

The biggest project of the nursery was his accent wall but thankfully we have handy friends that double as contractors and can help us out! Jason (our old neighbor) was a great help! He went with me to get everything we needed, showed me how to remove the baseboards, cut the wood, and get the frames up on the wall! Yes, he did make me help which makes me that much more proud of it being completed! Here are some progress pics to make you giggle (me with a table saw was a real comedy).

After the accent wall was built, the rest was pretty simple! After some furniture construction (and a trip to the hospital for stitches after my mom had the crib dropped on her hand) and baby laundry finished it was just time to add the finishing touches!

Max’s nautical nursery is finally finished and I couldn’t be happier!

Here’s where you can get some of my favorite nursery pieces and the final images!

I swear by this mat because it features extra grips on the bottom of the mat to ensure your babies safety without purchasing an extra guard.

I don’t know why more companies don’t make their changing pad covers like this! MoonBeau Baby is a wipe-away mess changing pad that I personally recommend to every momma or soon-to-be momma!
